Put a job on the trench board
Ring the depot, send a plan by email or fill in the form below. A crew leader reads every enquiry personally and will return with the questions that matter before any figure is put on paper. The setting-out bench at 206 Wardle Road is where each job starts, and it is the same bench where your message is read on the morning it arrives.

What happens next
Your message is read at the setting-out bench on the next working morning. A crew leader replies with a short list of questions, usually about access width, service locations, spoil space and the depths on your drawings. Once those answers are in hand, a walkover is arranged and a written quotation follows within a few working days.
If you have a photograph of the plot or a plan in digital form, attach it to your email. A single picture of the access route often saves a second visit and makes the first reply far more useful to you.
Questions before you ring
No. Within Rochdale, Wardle, Littleborough, Heywood, Oldham and Bury a walkover and quotation visit is free. For sites further afield we quote travel separately and write it plainly on the estimate before any date is agreed, so there is no surprise when the invoice arrives.
A plan or sketch, a photograph of the plot and a short note of the work you have in mind helps more than a long description. Tell us about access width, service locations and where spoil can go, and a crew leader can prepare a useful first reply without asking you to repeat everything on the telephone.
Small works such as a footing or a short drainage run can often start within two weeks of an accepted quotation. Larger clearances and driveways are scheduled against the dig calendar, and the start date is confirmed only when the setting-out visit has been made and the bench mark established.
